Glo Mobile

Glo Mobile is the mobile arm of Globacom, Nigeria’s Second National Operator (SNO). It is an indigenous brand. Glo Mobile commenced operations in August 2003 and soon introduced per second billing in Nigeria, the first operator to do so.

GloMobile his now operational in other African countries: Benin (launched in June 2008), and Ghana (launched in April 30, 2012). Globacom made a bid to acquire Comium Côte d’Ivoire in 2015, which if successful, would extend the operations of GloMobile to that country.

GloMobile provides mobile data via GPRS, EDGE, 3G/WCDMA, and HSDPA. The company announced a false launch of 4G services in 2011.
